Sara McCartney

Sara McCartney is a seasoned financial professional with over 15 years of experience in her field. In her current role as Director and Finance of Accounting, Sara brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise, as well as a collaborative and outgoing spirit, to the Ruppert Grows team. In her current position, Sara manages all aspects of financial operations for Ruppert Grows, including budgeting, financial and investment reporting, and compliance. Sara is also responsible for financial and tax coordination across many Ruppert entities. Sara’s leadership is characterized by a strong commitment to accuracy, transparency, and efficiency. Sara continues to drive Ruppert Grows towards long term financial success, leveraging her expertise to collaboratively navigate challenges, and to make strategic financial decisions.

Prior to joining Ruppert Grows, Sara was a Senior Accountant at Ruppert Landscape, where she honed her skills in financial analysis and tax planning.  Prior to Ruppert Landscape, Sara has worked as a Controller, Branch Manager, and Regional Manager for another large commercial landscaping entity. As a Controller, Sara was responsible for producing accurate financial records and reporting for over 20 different profit centers in the Mid-Atlantic Region, which grew from $20MM to $80MM in revenue in less than 7 years. Sara contributed to her region’s exception growth during that period by analyzing financial data and providing strategic insights to support decision-making at all levels of the organization. As a Branch Manager and eventual Regional Manager, Sara oversaw all aspects of branch level operations within the Mid-Atlantic Region. She was responsible for developing and executing strategic initiatives to achieve business objectives, and for ensuring consistent delivery of exceptional customer service. Her leadership in these roles was marked by a strong commitment to collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. Sara holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, and also received her MBA from Loyola University. Outside of her professional endeavors, Sara enjoys spending time with her husband and their three sons. She also enjoys reading, traveling, and various fitness activities. Combining her interests in fitness and supporting children and families, Sara has also volunteered for various organizations like Special Olympics and Girls on the Run.
